I have always been taught that volunteering /giving back to a community is something that is a must as a growing young adult and it also looks good on your resume. As you get older and venture off to the best school SOUTH ALABAMA or a different institution, volunteer opportunists are always available. There are many ways to get involved and connected to different resources:
- At the beginning of a new semester, each organization is always looking for new recruits, and there will be info on how to sign up.
- Follow school social media pages that include the link and contact information if you need to get in touch with someone for a particular reason.
- Get Daily Digest sent to your phone automatically. Daily Digest is an automatic school-wide email address that sends out updated information to the students every day. Examples: volunteer services that are just held at the school, outside volunteer projects, meetings to attending that may be directed to your specific major, and honor clubs and other societies that you may want to join in.
If considering a specific job and you have your volunteer experience listed on your resume, it shows how important giving is to you and how hard you are willing to work without event getting some type of payment for it.
Volunteering/giving back is KEY. Find a organization to join or come up with your own volunteering services.
