Are you ready to be a JAG ?

The end of the year is approaching and we are all aggravated and are ready to enjoy the summer, BUT you start your freshman/junior (transfer) year here at South.
It's always best to STAY prepared so you won't have to get prepared. There are many ways to prepare for South Alabama and you can get prepared in 5 simple ways.

FRESHMAN:
-Make sure your transcript has been sent.
-Make sure your FASFA has been completed and all other material for funding has been turned in.
-Make sure your housing application has been completed. If you have a roommate, get in contact with them so that you all can both be on board with items that are needed/wanted in the resident halls.
-Attend orientation/register for classes. Ger familiar with the campus. Find your classes, and the buildings that your classes will be held in/

TRANSFER STUDENTS:
-Make sure all transcripts from the previous school(s) you have attended have been mailed/faxed in.
-Find an advisor on campus, meet with them and continue to meet with them throughout the year so that you can stay on track.
-Attend transfer orientation/register for classes.
-Any Financial Aid/ Veteran Affairs (funding) make sure that it is completed by the summer. VA information needs to completed in a timely manner before the Fall semester or there can be a delay in your funding.
-Find ways to get involved, reach out to other students or friends that you have on campus. Use your resources.
-Also, establish living arrangements weather it is on campus or off campus. Explore ALL possibilities.
